Is your Plantronics Voyager Focus B825 headset dying too quickly or not turning on? It might be time to replace the battery. While this premium headset offers top-notch audio and noise cancellation, its built-in battery can wear out over time. Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to help you replace the battery and extend your headset’s life.

Disclaimer:

This procedure requires basic technical skills. Proceed with caution, and note that opening the headset may void any active warranty.

Tools You’ll Need:

  • Precision screwdriver (Phillips)
  • Plastic pry tool or guitar pick
  • Replacement battery (3.7V 300mAh Li-Polymer compatible with B825)
  • Tweezers (optional but helpful)
  • Soldering iron and solder (if the battery is soldered)

Where to Buy the Replacement Battery:

You can find compatible batteries on Amazon, AliExpress, or battery specialty sites. Search for:
“Plantronics Voyager Focus B825 replacement battery 3.7V 300mAh”

Step-by-Step Battery Replacement:

1. Power Off and Disconnect
Make sure the headset is completely turned off. Disconnect from all devices and charging cables.

2. Remove the Ear Cushion
Gently twist or pry off the right ear cushion (where the battery is located). Be careful not to tear the cushion as you may want to reuse it.

3. Unscrew the Ear Cup Cover
Use a small Phillips screwdriver to remove all screws from the speaker side of the ear cup. Set screws aside safely.

4. Open the Housing
Use a plastic pry tool to gently open the ear cup. Be slow and careful to avoid damaging internal wiring.

5. Locate the Battery
You’ll find a small rectangular battery inside. If it’s soldered, you’ll need a soldering iron to disconnect it. If it uses a connector, simply unplug it.

6. Replace the Battery
Plug in or solder the new battery in place. Make sure the polarity (+/-) is correct.

7. Reassemble the Headset
Carefully close the housing. Screw the ear cup cover back on. Snap the ear cushion back into place.

Final Steps:

Charge your headset fully before turning it on. Test Bluetooth connectivity and audio quality to ensure everything is working properly.

Tips:

  • Take photos during disassembly so you can remember where everything goes.
  • If you’re unsure about soldering, seek help from a local repair technician.
