Vivo looks ready to shake up its T4 lineup once again. After a flurry of launches this year, the company is reportedly preparing to introduce its first-ever R-series smartphone, the Vivo T4R 5G, in India soon.

Positioned Between T4x and T4A Busy Year for the T4 FamilyWhat’s Next?

According to details shared by 91Mobiles Hindi, the T4R 5G is expected to arrive powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, marking a step up in performance for this segment. If the leaks hold true, this could be one of the most feature-packed mid-range options Vivo has launched so far.

What’s particularly exciting is that the T4R 5G is tipped to come with IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it highly resistant to dust and water. For buyers who crave durability without spending a fortune, this could be a big selling point.

Positioned Between T4x and T4

Vivo is reportedly planning to price the T4R 5G between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 20,000, slotting it neatly between the Vivo T4x and Vivo T4. For context, the Vivo T4x starts at Rs. 13,999, while the T4 begins at Rs. 21,999.

With this move, Vivo seems determined to cover every price tier under its T4 umbrella, giving customers more options to match their needs and budget.

A Busy Year for the T4 Family

In case you’ve lost track, Vivo’s T4 series already includes four models:

  • Vivo T4 Lite 5G, launched last month with a Dimensity 6300 SoC and a massive 6,000mAh battery.
  • Vivo T4x 5G, with a Dimensity 7300 chipset and a 6,500mAh battery.
  • Vivo T4 5G, the balanced all-rounder, featuring a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, a vivid 6.77-inch AMOLED display, and a hefty 7,300mAh battery with blazing-fast 90W charging.
  • Vivo T4 Ultra, the flagship, packing a Dimensity 9300+ chip and a versatile triple-camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.

In comparison, the upcoming T4R 5G sounds like a thoughtfully positioned mid-range device—durable, powerful, and more accessible for everyday users who don’t necessarily want or need ultra-premium specs.

What’s Next?

While Vivo hasn’t officially confirmed the launch date, excitement is already building among fans who want flagship-level features without a premium price tag. If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your smartphone, this might be one to watch closely.

Stay tuned—2025 could be the year Vivo’s T4 series redefines what buyers expect from mid-range 5G phones.
