Realme is reportedly gearing up for the launch of its next flagship, the Realme GT 8 Pro, expected to debut later this year in China. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed any details, new leaks hint at a significant display upgrade and top-tier hardware.
Display Upgrade: Anti-Glare 2K Screen from Samsung
According to noted tipster Digital Chat Station, the GT 8 Pro could sport a 6.85-inch LTPO 2K display—a custom panel sourced from Samsung. The screen is said to feature AR (anti-reflection) anti-glare coating, narrow bezels, and pol-less depolarisation technology. These enhancements aim to boost light transmittance while reducing glare and reflections, offering a viewing experience similar to what’s expected from Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra.
This display upgrade is reportedly pushing up the device’s manufacturing cost, potentially making the GT 8 Pro the most expensive Realme phone to produce among upcoming Android flagships.
Expected Specs at a Glance

- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC (yet to be announced by Qualcomm)
- Display: 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED, anti-glare, narrow-bezel design
- Camera: 200MP periscope telephoto sensor
- Build: Metal frame, ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
- Battery: Over 7,000mAh capacity, with 100W fast charging
Launch Timeline
The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to launch in Q4 2025, shortly after Qualcomm’s official reveal of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. It would succeed last year’s GT 7 Pro, which featured a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
If these leaks hold true, the GT 8 Pro could represent a major leap in Realme’s flagship line—especially in terms of display and battery performance.
